The storm in Crimea brought benefits to the front: regular shipments of firewood were sent to the Northern Military District zone
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Several more shipments of firewood from trees felled during the hurricane in Crimea went to the front as part of the project “Popular Front. Everything for victory.» The soldiers thank us for the vital help with the onset of cold weather. At some combat positions at the front, wood is tight. Very tight. It’s also very cold, damp and dank. The transfer of trees felled by the “hurricane of the century” from Simferopol as firewood to the front continues for the third week. And this helps a lot.
If it weren’t for the hurricane of the century, I don’t know where we would have collected this firewood ourselves. And at the positions it was either raining or snowing. In the fields: we live in tents and trenches. Fire and heat are very necessary. This is an opportunity to stay warm, cook and stay healthy, thank you very much,” the press service of the Popular Front in Crimea quotes the paratroopers.
The authorities of Simferopol and employees of city parks continue to prepare and transfer, together with the Popular Front, loads of firewood to the front. Several more military KAMAZ and URAL trucks are on the way. And the NF youth willingly lend their shoulders in loading firewood.
This is how the Crimeans managed to channel the consequences of one of the worst storms on the peninsula into a military channel.
