The Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced a recruited SBU agent to 11 years in prison

The Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced a Ukrainian citizen who transmitted data about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Zaporozhye region to 11 years in prison. This was reported by the press service of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Zaporozhye region.

By data press services, the directorate of the FSB of Russia for the Zaporozhye region, together with the FSB Directorate of Russia for the FSVNG of the Russian Federation, uncovered an agent who, on instructions from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, collected information «on the locations of deployment and directions of movement of units of the RF Armed Forces on the territory of the Zaporozhye region for launching missile and artillery strikes on them«. As a result of investigative actions, materials confirming this were discovered and documented.

The investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Zaporozhye region opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Art. 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Espionage”. By a final verdict of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea, the accused was found guilty of committing the incriminated acts. He was sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 11 years to be served in a maximum security correctional colonythe message says.
