Since the beginning of the year, 7 incidents at water bodies have occurred in Crimea, 2 people were rescued.
In order to prevent emergencies and accidents on water, employees of the GIMS Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea carry out a set of preventive measures. As part of this work, specialists from the Main Directorate carry out daily patrols of the Black and Azov Seas along the coastline of the peninsula.
Employees of the Alushta inspection site of the State Inspectorate for Medical Information carried out a preventive raid to ensure the safety of people’s lives in the water bodies of the Black Sea in the village. During preventive measures, the inspectorate pays special attention to compliance with the legislation of the Russian Federation when using small vessels by citizens, as well as maintaining the safety of people on water bodies: during tourist transportation, riding on various watercraft and boat trips— reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.
Crimean rescuers remind citizens operating on the water bodies of the peninsula that everyone must not only undergo special training and have the appropriate certificate, but also strictly observe the rules for driving a small vessel, especially when transporting passengers. You are also responsible for the life and health of passengers.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea appeals to all residents and guests of the Republic of Crimea — be careful on the water and follow the basic rules of behavior on the water:
— swim only in permitted places. We remind you that on equipped beaches there are rescue posts and towers, where specially trained rescue sailors are on duty, who will be able to provide timely assistance in an emergency;
— it is prohibited to swim during storm warnings and difficult weather conditions;
— do not go into the water while intoxicated;
— do not dive in unfamiliar places — there may be logs, stones and snags at the bottom;
— do not sail far from the shore on inflatable floating devices — they may turn out to be faulty, and this is very dangerous even for people who know how to swim well;
— you must not swim up to passing vessels or swim beyond the buoys that limit the swimming zones.
In case of an emergency, immediately call the rescue service by calling 101 or 112.
