The thief-esthete was caught «hot» in one of the Sevastopol perfume stores
I wanted to smell good…
In Sevastopol, a district police officer detained a man who was trying to steal expensive perfumes. The aesthete thief explained his act by the desire to smell good.
A 42-year-old local resident with no previous convictions visited a perfume shop in order to commit theft. While on the trading floor, the man pretended to choose the right perfume and, after waiting for a moment when there were no consultants nearby, he grabbed a package of perfume worth about 7 thousand rubles and hid it in his backpack. After that, he, as if nothing had happened, headed towards the exit, but the anti-theft frame worked, so the failed thief had to confess to the crime he had committed, and return the stolen perfume— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
For attempted theft against a detainee by the Department of Inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Leninsky District, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1, art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, he faces up to two years in prison, in places where it does not smell too good.
