The total amount of payments to veterans of the Great Patriotic War in Crimea exceeds 140 million rubles

According to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, today 315 war veterans live in Crimea: 178 combatants, 84 ensuring the work of the army in the rear, 705 home front workers, 67 awarded with the badge «Inhabitant of besieged Sevastopol», 33 having the status of «Inhabitant of besieged Leningrad», 252 former minor prisoner of fascism and 9 734 veterans, whose status is confirmed by regional legislation. Among them are the invalids of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers who could not confirm their experience.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya said that every year on Victory Day, veterans of the Great Patriotic War receive cash payments from both the federal and republican budgets. Veterans who took a direct part in hostilities receive 50 thousand rubles (178 veterans), and in accordance with the decree of the President of Russia 329 veterans received 10 thousand rubles. In addition, the money was also sent to war veterans, whose status is established by republican legislation: 504 citizens who became disabled due to hostilities during the war years received a payment in the amount of thousand; 175 former prisoners of fascism — 7 thousand rubles, 9015 home front workers and members of the families of the victims — 5 thousand rubles. The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that the Republic of Crimea is one of the few entities where payments are made on Victory Day to the children of the war, there are 84 thousands of them on the peninsula — they received thousand rubles.

The total amount of money paid as of the current date is 148, 2 million rubles. By the Day of the Liberation of Crimea, a payment is traditionally made to all participants in the liberation and defense of Crimea, of which, unfortunately, there are 28 people, of which 33 — took part in the partisan and underground movement at the age of 13 years. They received a payment of 10 thousand rubles. In June, on the Day of Partisan Glory, a payment in the amount of 10 thousand rubles will be received by 29 partisans and members of the underground movement: Crimean veterans, as well as members of the partisan and underground movement in the territories of Ukraine and Belarus. Separately, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that 10 5 million rubles were allocated to compensate for utility bills from the federal and republican budgets, and to improve housing conditions for veterans of the Great Patriotic War this year provided for 28 million rubles.
