The traffic police of Sevastopol summed up the results of the preventive raid «Night City»

On the roads of Sevastopol, traffic inspectors held a preventive measure «Night City». The main purpose of the raids was to identify the suppression of the facts of driving while intoxicated.
According to the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, during the raid, 23 administrative materials were compiled, including in relation to 4 drivers who were driving while intoxicated. Two of them refused to undergo a medical examination.
During the raid, traffic inspectors stopped a Hyundai car driven by a 31-year-old driver, in whose cabin 3 polymer bags with a white and pink powder were found and seized. The seized packages were sent for forensic examination, based on its results, a procedural decision will be made. It is worth noting that the driver refused to undergo a medical examination for intoxication.— the press service notes.
The State traffic inspectorate recalls that driving while intoxicated entails an administrative penalty — a fine of thirty thousand rubles with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one and a half to two years. If this administrative offense is repeated during the year, criminal liability arises under Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
