The evidence collected by the Main Investigation Department of the IC of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol was recognized as a court to be sufficient for the conviction against a 35-year-old citizen of Ukraine. He was in absentia in absentia guilty of murder (part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The investigator of the investigation department of particularly important cases and the court found that on the night of February 4, 2014, a resident of Armyansk in his apartment during the celebration of the anniversary of family life was jealous of a cohabitant to a 40-year-old comrade and stabbed him with a kitchen knife. From the injury received, the victim died on the spot, and the attacker disappeared.
Investigators and forensic investigators, together with colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the framework of the disclosure and investigation of crimes of past years, established all the circumstances of the commission of a particularly serious crime and the whereabouts of the defendant in the territory of another state. He was put on the international wanted list.
The man’s verdict was found guilty of the murder and was sentenced in absentia to 9 years in prison in a maximum security colony.
