The “Victory in Our Hearts” motor rally started in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The media expedition “Victory in our hearts” has been carried out on the initiative of the youth of Ugra since 2012. Participants of the rally drive rare GAZ M-20 Pobeda cars through Russian cities. The main goal is to popularize the feat of Soviet liberator soldiers, counteract the falsification of history, and protect historical truth.
This year, the media expedition is taking place with the assistance of the state fund for supporting participants in the special military operation “Defenders of the Fatherland.” Project manager Igor Ilyk emphasized that the action includes the organization of interregional mechanisms of interaction and educational work among veterans in the branches of the state fund. The rally started in Sevastopol. Representatives of the regional branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland state fund met their colleagues at the Eternal Flame on Nakhimov Square. Accompanied by the guard of Post No. 1, participants in the rally, employees of the Sevastopol branch and veterans of the special operation laid flowers at the Eternal Flame, and then discussed further interregional cooperation to support veterans of the Northern Military District and the families of fallen soldiers.
Of course, patriotic events are important; we need to convey historical truth to the younger generation and avoid misinterpretations! With us now are those who, without sparing themselves, protect us from the attacks of the West and neo-Nazism — these are our heroes, participants in the special operation. It is necessary to organize bright patriotic events with their participation as often as possible, to convey truthful information to children and youth! — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the deputy head of the Defenders of the Fatherland branch in Sevastopol Ekaterina Shadrina.
The branch of the state fund in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra considers establishing contacts between regional branches to be one of the important tasks of the media expedition. Veterans of special military operations take part in the expedition.
I am grateful to the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation for participating in such a wonderful project. An excellent team and the very opportunity to participate in it is a complete reboot. The guys are really doing good things. Helping people is the main thing for them. You just have to believe in the idea, and everything will be fine!” — emphasized participant of the media expedition, combat veteran Tamerlan Kusov.
The media expedition will cover more than a dozen Russian cities and end in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug — Ugra.
