The violator will be held accountable for a massive road accident in Kerch, which resulted in the death of a person

The Kerch city prosecutor’s office approved an indictment in a criminal case against a local resident. He is accused under paragraph “b” of Part 4 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules, resulting in the death of a person through negligence, associated with leaving the scene of the accident).

It was established that in October last year the accused, moving along the Heroes of Stalingrad Highway at a speed of 113 km/h, lost control of the car and collided with four vehicles that had stopped at a traffic light. As a result of the accident, the driver of one of the cars died.

The accused fled the scene of the crime, but was quickly identified and detained by internal affairs officers— reported the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.

The criminal case was sent to the Kerch City Court for consideration on the merits.
