The water level in Crimean rivers may rise by 1 meter due to heavy rainfall

Heavy rains with thunderstorms are predicted on October 16 and 17 in Crimea, which will lead to an increase in water levels in rivers. This was reported by TASS scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

In Crimea, rains are expected on October 16 and 17, very heavy in places, and northeast winds will increase to 20 m/s. On the rivers of Crimea, the water level is predicted to rise by about 1 m, without reaching dangerous levelssaid the meteorologist.

He added that such weather will affect the water temperature on the sea coast.

From this information it is already clear that the holiday season is ending, because rivers that rise by 1 m will carry cold waters to the sea. Therefore, the water temperature there will gradually drop significantly by the end of the week. The weather warns in advance: it’s over, enjoy yourself and that’s enoughemphasizes the head of the Hydrometeorological Center.

Vilfand noted that rain and sleet are expected in the Krasnodar Territory in the coming days, which is associated with the movement of air masses from the north.
