CrimeaPRESS reports:
The regional stage of the All-Russian competition among teaching staff of the city’s secondary vocational education system “Master of the Year” was held in Sevastopol. Six teachers and two industrial training masters from seven vocational education institutions took part in the competition.
From March 25 to April 12, the first correspondence test “I am a Master” was held in video format, the purpose of which was to demonstrate the participant’s methodological competence and own experience in the professional training of students, based on advanced technologies and methods of practical training, as well as the results obtained in professional activities . From April 22 to May 15, a competitive test “Master Class” took place in the format of a training session with a group of students. The purpose of the test is to demonstrate the participant’s professional competencies in the field of conducting and analyzing a training session as the main form of organizing the educational process— reported the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.
The regional stage of the competition ended with the discussion “Secondary vocational education of our time: problems and solutions.” Together with i. O. Director of the Department of Education and Science Maxim Krivonos, the contestants discussed the role of career guidance for schoolchildren, educational work in the student environment, partnerships with employers, employment of secondary vocational students and other issues.
The competition is important because it gives teachers the opportunity to share their accumulated experience within the professional community and learn the best teaching practices and techniques. In our region, a new form of interaction with competitors has appeared when we talk about industry issues. It is important for us to hear the opinions of teachers and industrial training specialists. It is very important for the Department of Education and Science, because it allows us to understand whether we are planning the development of the system, whether everything is happening the way teachers and children want it. In conversation we consider various situations, life and practical. I hope that the team that will work with the winner of the regional stage will be able to prepare him for a high-quality and worthy result at the federal level,” notes the head of the Department of Education and Science Maxim Krivonos.
According to the results of competitive tests, the winner of the regional stage was Polina Ivanova, a teacher of special disciplines at the Sevastopol College of Service and Trade.
The main success in work is to love your job and instill in young people a love for their future profession. I conducted a master class “Tempering chocolate in various ways and using it in the preparation of flour confectionery products.” Taught children how to properly prepare chocolate. I am open with children, I love children, I communicate with them directly, and I am not afraid to answer their questions. I am not afraid to teach them and try to use modern teaching technologies in my work. From the competition I expect to meet colleagues from other regions, exchange experiences and find new approaches that can be used in our region, — says Polina Ivanova.
The winner of the regional stage of last year, Elena Evdokimova-Vlasova, handed over the banner of the competition to the winner of 2024. The final of the All-Russian competition of professional skills in the vocational education system “Master of the Year — 2024” will be held from September 26 to October 3 in the Tyumen region. In addition to competitive tests, the finalists will have an interesting business program: seminars, master classes, round tables.
