The competition began on May 29. Their participants were sports delegations from the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Republic of Crimea, Bryansk, Zaporozhye, Lipetsk, Orenburg, Ryazan regions, a team from Sevastopol State University, as well as teams from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and South Ossetia.

Over the course of three days, the athletes solved a special case from the T1 company, a leading representative of the IT industry. Participants worked to create functional products that could solve real-world problems. The athletes received not only feedback, but also support from IT community professionals.

I am very glad that this year the Ministry of Sports, personally Deputy Minister Odes Khasaevich Baysultanov and the Federation of Sports Programming decided to invite you all to Sevastopol for competitions. I really hope that these competitions will be just the first step, and we will definitely meet again, and the scale of our meeting, the number of participants, countries, regions will only grow. I know that every year every region strives to hold such competitions, but we will definitely strive for you to come to Sevastopol more often. When we were preparing for the festival, we understood that there were certain logistics restrictions and other issues. But nevertheless, you are all here, which means we succeeded. And, of course, it is very important for us that the sports programming festival is taking place in our city. We expect that Sevastopol will become a place where programmers from all over the country will come to work and relax. Therefore, our future lies in sports programming, in general, in programming. We know that today the main task of Russia and our fraternal countries, whose representatives took part in the competition today, is to ensure technological sovereignty. It is impossible without the only international language that provides the most important competitive advantages — a programming language. I hope that the path you have chosen will lead you to master this language perfectly and be in demand — and above all, in your homeland,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Mikhail Razvozhaev.

We are very glad that the competition was held in Sevastopol, which this year celebrates the 80th anniversary of liberation from the Nazi invaders. All participants who came to Hero City are very pleased with the hospitality and are grateful to the people of Sevastopol for the warm welcome,” said Maria Mukhametnurova, administrative director of the all-Russian physical education and sports public organization “Sports Programming Federation”.

The teams’ work was evaluated by an expert jury of industry representatives. On June 1, the final competitions took place, based on the results of which the winners were determined. They became:

  • 1st place — Orenburg;
  • 2nd place — Republic of Crimea;
  • 3rd place — DPR (team 2).

The winning teams and prize-winners of the festival were awarded cups and diplomas, team members were awarded medals and diplomas from the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.
