The winners of the regional stage of the competition in memory of Vasily Lanovoy “Awakening Hearts” were celebrated in Sevastopol

The results of the second creative competition in memory of the People’s Artist of the USSR, Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation, co-chairman of the Central Headquarters of the Immortal Regiment of Russia Vasily Lanovoy “Awakening Hearts” have been summed up. Sevastopol residents submitted about 200 works to the competition, 16 winners were awarded today at a ceremony in the museum of Post No. 1. The event was attended by: O. Director of the Department of Education Maxim Krivonos, First Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Policy Maria Vechera, representatives of public organizations of veterans, contestants and their parents.
Participation in a competition is, first of all, a victory over oneself. Today you have taken another important step for each of you — you have become winners. I am sincerely convinced that the experience of participating in such competitions will encourage new achievements. Patriotic education now plays a special role. As long as you carry this memory, as long as the memories of your ancestors and their exploits are alive in your family, Russia will live,” Maxim Krivonos addressed those present.
The “Awakening Hearts” competition included several nominations: recitation of classic works by heart, recitation of works about the Great Patriotic War, creative performances based on classical works, as well as self-composed poems dedicated to the Motherland and heroism, including those of participants in a special military operation.
It’s great that talented guys were able to show themselves. I note that in total more than 10 thousand people took part in the all-Russian competition, and 16 Sevastopol residents became winners. I think this is a worthy result. Keep it up! — emphasizes Maria Vechera.
The winners of the competition were awarded well-deserved gifts and certificates.
