The work of a KFU photographer was presented at an exhibition at the World Youth Festival

A multimedia exhibition of the National Photo Competition Knowledge.Russia was opened at the World Youth Festival. 28 photographs selected from among the winners of the National Creative Competition Znanie.Russia are presented using augmented reality (AR) technologies.

Among the best photographs is the work of the photographer of the Press Service of the Crimean Federal University, Ksenia Gasitsa, “Nikola-Lenivets: art in the open air”, which became the winner in the category “Art and Sports” (direction “Mobile Photography”).

With great trepidation, I waited to arrive at the World Youth Festival to see with my own eyes my work among those exhibited at such a large-scale international event. This is a great incentive for the growth and development of your creative ideas. The selected work became the winner in the “Mobile Photography” category, which once again proves that expensive equipment is not needed for a good, high-quality shot; it is enough to use the author’s view from an unusual angle. I thank the organizers of the exhibition for the opportunity to express myself and announce myself to the whole worldsaid Ksenia Gasitsa, photographer of the Press Service of the Crimean Federal University.

The main idea of ​​the photo exhibition is to introduce young people from all over the world through photographs to the current achievements of Russia in science, sports, and art. The project also allowed authors from Russian regions to make themselves known on the international stage. The works of professionals and amateurs from ten regions of Russia are presented here.

The exposition consists of seven exhibition stands, each of which contains four photographs and a QR code — with its help, viewers, thanks to AR technologies, will be able to see “come to life” photographs. The photographs are supplemented with visualization effects, interesting facts and audio accompaniment.

More than 13 thousand applications were submitted to participate in the National Photo Competition Knowledge.Russia in 2023. The best works included 50 photographs, 28 of which will be presented at the Festival.

The photo exhibition became part of the educational program of the Festival, prepared by the Russian Society «Knowledge», and was implemented with the support of the general partner of the photo competition — the TASS news agency.
