The activities of realtors were proposed to regulate normatively. Such an initiative was sent to the Council of Ministers of the Prosecutor General. The head of the department, Igor Krasnov, said that unscrupulous realtors help fraudsters sell apartments received by illegally.
According to Krasnov, it is necessary to introduce limits on the issue of bank cards at the legislative level. In addition, it is necessary to prescribe in the legislation the norms of the realtors’ activities in order to avoid cases when realtors help scammers accelerated the apartments of the victims.
These proposals are sent to the Security Council. The Prosecutor General’s Office, expects that the government will support this initiative.
Previously, a bill was prepared on the regulation of real estate activities. Now the requirements for real estate experts are not defined; any legal or individual can engage in the real estate business, the author of the bill, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee and Housing and Utilities Svetlana Razvorotneva, noted. She proposed to prescribe in the legislation the legal foundations of real estate activities. It is assumed that the government and regions will receive powers to regulate and control real estate transactions.
