The work of the infectious diseases department in Massandra has been resumed

The work of the infectious diseases department in Massandra was resumed on April 1.

Due to the decrease in the incidence of a new coronavirus infection and the stabilization of the situation in the city of Yalta, the management of the branch decided to re-profile the bed fund, which had previously been forced to be used to treat patients with COVID-19. Now residents and guests of the city will be able to receive all the necessary medical care in the field of «infectious diseases» without the need to travel to other settlements , — said Dmitry Lazitsky, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Medical Affairs.

The first patients have already been admitted to the department. For the provision of medical care, beds have been prepared, 30 of them are intended for the treatment of children. At the same time, if necessary, the number of beds can be increased.

Before the launch of the department, a set of anti-epidemic measures was carried out, and the approval of Rospotrebnadzor was obtained.
