The Yalta House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov presents a new exhibition project “Dear, unforgettable godfather”

With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, on January 24 there will be a presentation of a new temporary thematic exhibition “Dear, Unforgettable Godfather”, dedicated to the Russian writer, playwright, poetess, translator and memoirist — Tatyana Shchepkina-Kupernik. Visitors will not only get acquainted with the creative work of this talented woman, because Anton Chekhov played a significant role in the development of her literary talent, but will also learn about her acquaintance with the writer’s family.
The exhibition will be based on artifacts from the stock collection of the Crimean Literary and Art Memorial Museum-Reserve, which includes the A.P. Chekhov House-Museum in Yalta. Among them are photographs and personal belongings of Tatyana Shchepkina-Kupernik and Maria Chekhova, unique documents and rare publications— reported the press service of the Yalta administration.
The opening of the new exhibition project will take place on January 24 at 14:30, admission to the event is free. After the opening, you can visit the exhibition until March 17 inclusive, according to the museum’s work schedule.
