CrimeaPRESS reports:

During operational and preventive measures, employees of the drug control department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Yalta established the involvement of a 31-year-old local resident in illegal activities related to drug trafficking.

At the suspect’s place of residence, the police conducted an authorized search, as a result of which, in a utility room located in the basement of the household, they found and seized 3 bags and a container with a substance of plant origin of a gray-green color with a specific odor, electronic scales and a mobile phone. The man said that the packages contained cannabis (marijuana), which he discovered in a forest area and took for personal use, without the purpose of sale. According to the expert opinion, the substances submitted for examination with a total mass of 100.6 grams are the narcotic drug cannabis (marijuana)— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.

The investigator of the police department No. 3 “Massandra” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta opened a criminal case against the attacker on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. “Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, production, processing of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues on a large scale.” The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 3 to 10 years. A preventive measure was chosen for the suspect — a written undertaking not to leave the place.
