The Year of the Teacher and Mentor was summed up in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Students from kindergartens, schools, and colleges in the city, as well as their mentors and parents, performed on the stage of the Sevastopol Center for Culture and Art. Sevastopol residents presented a composition that reflects the development of personality, all stages of a child’s education — from birth to professional education.

Words of gratitude were addressed to educators, teachers, industrial training specialists, and all those who raise and train children. More than 5 thousand teachers now work in the education system of Sevastopol, people who sincerely love their job.

The President declared 2023 the year of the teacher and mentor in our country. This year has become a time of recognition of the special status of educators. That is, all those people who have made it their life’s work to raise children, form personalities, cultivate spirituality, and pass on their invaluable knowledge and experience to children and adolescents. This year, more than two thousand Sevastopol teachers received various departmental awards, from city to federal. And today, on the day when we officially complete the year of teacher and mentor, we presented the “Best Teacher in Sevastopol” award. Next year has been declared the Year of the Family in Russia. And today I want to wish each of you that you always find time for your families,” Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev congratulated the teachers.

As part of the Year of the Teacher and Mentor, more than 7 thousand events at the federal and regional level were held throughout the country. More than two million people took part in the All-Russian “Thanks to the Teacher” campaign.

More than 200 events took place in Sevastopol aimed at disseminating the best teaching and mentoring practices, as well as attracting young people into the teaching profession.

More than 2 thousand teachers of Sevastopol received awards from the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Government of Sevastopol, and the Governor of Sevastopol. Among them, the badge of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation “Honorary Mentor”, “For Loyalty to the Profession”, diplomas of the Ministry of Education, the title “Honored Worker of Education of the City of Sevastopol”, diplomas of the Government, and letters of gratitude from the Governor of Sevastopol were awarded.
