Sevastopol youth took an active part in the celebration of the 240th anniversary of the city. Master classes, competitions and other events were held at different locations in the city.
The morning began with exercises in Victory Park, anyone could join. The sporting event was hosted by Dmitry Zadniprovsky, winner of the world championship in wrestling, as well as the winner of the Russian Championship in 2022, the owner of the Russian Cup in 2021, the winner of a series of tournaments at the all-Russian level.
Further, the first local branch of the Russian movement of children and youth «Movement of the First» was opened in the Resource Center for Supporting Volunteerism of the city.
From early morning we have a variety of activities. In general, the program for the day is rich. Behind the opening of the «Movement of the First», as well as a team competition, where the guys in a playful way trained in knowledge of history. Three winning teams received their prizes. We also had various master classes, a large fair of opportunities and a festive concert— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the Deputy Head of the Department for Youth and Sports of Sevastopol Marina Slonchenko.
In the evening, creative platforms were set up on the summer stage «Rakushka». Dance master classes were held for everyone who wanted to, they could try their hand at painting shoppers, laying out eco-mazayka from recycled glass. In addition, residents and guests of the city had the opportunity to join the action and write letters to the city, the heroes of Sevastopol and the military personnel who are in the zone of the special military operation.
The headquarters of «We are together — Sevastopol» spoke about how humanitarian supplies are formed, provided an opportunity to write letters to servicemen who will later go to the NVO zone. There is also the Tavrida location, where the children are told how to become a volunteer and go to the festival. Also, everyone was explained how to get into the ranks of volunteers.— says Victoria Fomina, an employee of the volunteer department.
The festive evening ended with a gala concert.
