There are chances! Car traffic on the Crimean bridge can start very quickly

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Well, sensible repairs will be completed by November.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin personally checked the condition of the damaged automobile part of the Crimean bridge. The conclusions, including after meetings and expert assessments of specialists, are quite optimistic.

It is important that the results of the examination of the divers showed that the bridge supports were not damaged.

There is no damage to the pillars of the Crimean bridge, we expected the worst, but the pillars are in good condition… We plan to complete the strengthening of the spans and the installation of fences today by 12 at night. Then let test loaded cars pass, after which we will let cars go in one lane in reverse motion. We will also start repairing damaged strips— said Marat Khusnullin.

There are chances! Reverse «thread» on one lane in this area can be launched this week — in a day or two. Traffic jams are inevitable, but it’s better than nothing.

At the same time, road repair work will begin. The thing is that one span of the road part of the Crimean bridge is destroyed and cannot be restored. It needs to be completely changed.

We tentatively plan to restore two-way traffic on one side by September 15. Movement on the second side — by November 1 of the current year. The timing will be further specified as the design and estimate documentation is prepared. Active mobilization of builders and designers has already begun. A plant in the Voronezh region has started manufacturing superstructuresKhusnullin noted.

Another result of the survey of the bridge is that one track of the railway part of the transport crossing also has damage. But — insignificant. This does not affect the movement of trains on the Crimean bridge.
