There are plans to create new specially protected natural areas in Crimea, including two state reserves

Today, in Crimea there are 194 specially protected natural areas of regional significance with a total area of about 97 thousand hectares.
It is planned to create three more protected areas: state nature reserves “Kholodnaya Balka” near the village of Malinovka, Bakhchisarai district and “Limenskaya Valley” in Simeiz, as well as a park-monument of garden art “Sea Surf” in Koreiznotes the Head of the Republic.
Sergei Aksenov said that completion of the work is scheduled for 2025. As a result, the total area of protected areas will increase by almost 112 hectares.
In addition, the Head of Crimea noted the improvement and creation of environmental excursion routes as a promising area of work.
Thus, in 2024, two such routes were opened: the environmental-educational route “Alimova Balka” in the Bakhchisarai region and the ecological-tourist route “To the Arpatian Falls” in the territory of Greater Alushta.
Sergei Aksyonov added that four routes have been updated, including “Partisan Paths of the Belogorsk District”, “Paragilmen” on the territory of the state natural reserve of regional significance of the same name, “Stone Mushrooms” on the territory of the reserve tract “River Valley”. Satera» in Bolshaya Alushta, «Arboretum named after. Pechenkin» in the Simferopol region.
A major renovation of the Massandrovsky park-monument of landscape gardening art is also underway.
The head of the republic emphasized that work in this direction continues, it is necessary for both Crimeans and guests of Crimea.
