There is a new ombudsman for children's rights in Crimea. Svetlana Savchenko was appointed to the position
CrimeaPRESS reports:
According to my suggestion [кандидатура] agreed with the Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova, I propose to appoint Svetlana Borisovna Savchenko for a period of five years,” said the head of the State Council, Vladimir Konstantinov.
The project was supported by deputies.
In his Telegram channel Konstantinov noted the extensive political experience of the new ombudsman:
Svetlana Borisovna is a member of our team, a person with extensive organizational and political experience, a deputy of the State Duma of the 7th convocation. I am sure that in her status as Commissioner for Children’s Rights she will continue to make her contribution to the development of Crimea.
Klyueva was appointed to the post of Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Republic of Crimea in September 2014 and is now leaving it due to the expiration of her term of office.
