The use of American weapons to strike Crimea will result in a harsh response from Russia, the TASS Member of the Federation Council, Senator from the Republic of Crimea Olga Kovitidi.
Provoking war is a common move for the United States of America, aimed at seizing foreign territories and natural resources of other states. It is obvious that the use of long-range weapons and causing damage to the territory of Russia, and Crimea is Russia, will entail a harsh response from Russia. The blow to the real centers of decision-making will be painful— said Olga Kovitidi.
Earlier, Pentagon press secretary Patrick Ryder at a briefing statedthat the US authorities consider it acceptable to strike Crimea with American weapons. At the same time, he specified that, in the opinion of the US, «Crimea is part of Ukraine.»
