According to the Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on February 15-16, a northeast wind of 15-20 m/s is expected to increase in Crimea. In these conditions, there is a high probability of emergencies caused by accidents at energy facilities, housing and communal services, possible disruption of transport communications, obstruction of the movement of motor vehicles on roads, especially in areas of mountain passes— says the message of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.
Crimeans and guests of the peninsula are urged to be attentive and careful. It is emphasized that in such stormy weather there is a threat to the life and health of the population due to the possible fall of billboards, weakly reinforced structures, trees and possible broken power lines.
