There will be no victory parade this year in Sevastopol

There will be no victory parade in Sevastopol this year. This was announced at a hardware meeting in the city government by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The Victory Parade will not be this year, this position is agreed with the Ministry of Defense. The Immortal Regiment will take place in our online mode. Nevertheless, a large number of events for different target audiences — all this will happen— he said.
The schedule of all planned events is sent to the organizers, but they will not publish it. It is only known that the laying of flowers and festive concerts is planned.
As part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Sevastopol from the Nazi invaders in the city, more than 300 events will be held.
Traditionally, in May, together with the Black Sea Fleet, the city will hold parades in the courtyards of veterans, as well as the historical and patriotic festival «Banner of Glory» and the action «Honor and dignity».
Part of the holiday events dedicated to the anniversary date is already taking place in the city. So, on March 18, the annual start of the International Promotion «Garden of Memory» was given, in which 80 seedlings were put on Sapun Gore in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory. And on March 14, 15 and 19 in Sevastopol visited “Victory train«. According to Mikheev, over 5,000 people visited the exposition these days.
