There will be three leading universities to accompany the creation of new reservoirs in Crimea

Specialists of leading universities of the country — Moscow State University named after Lomonosov, the Institute of Water Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Moscow State Construction University (MGSU) will deal with the scientific support and construction of new reservoirs in the Crimea to supply water to the Crimea. In Crimea, it is planned to build two reservoirs — Solnechnogorsk and Martovskoye — to supply water for Alushta and Yalta. To date, design and survey work is carried out.

Scientific support is carried out by leading organizations of Russia. Lomonosov Moscow State University is responsible for scientific support for engineering and geological surveys, the Institute of Water Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences-for hydrology and hydrometeorology, MGSU-for structural solutions— said Zakharov.

According to him, today the geodetic and archaeological surveys in the construction sites of new reservoirs are completely completed. Now experts carry out engineering and geological surveys, studying the properties of soils.

The deputy head of the State City of the Crimea emphasized that the ecological component is one of the most important when designing and building these facilities.

In no case will the ecosystem will be broken. The number of forest plantations that fall into the construction zone will be taken into account, up to a specific tree, because green spaces are also very important and necessary for Crimea, ”Zakharov emphasized.

The Solnechnogorsk reservoir to supply Alushta will be built on the Vostochny Ulu-Uzen River. Its design volume is from 8 to 8.6 million cubic meters, depth — up to 80 meters.

The March reservoir to supply Yalta will be built on the Marta River in the Bakhchisarai district. Its volume is up to 6.5 million cubic meters, the depth is 24-30 meters. The water will be transferred from there to Zagorskoye, then to the lucky reservoir and on the existing tunnel will be supplied to Yalta.

The marginal amounts of capital investments in the construction of both facilities are 22.5 billion rubles.

In April, the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov reported that two new reservoirs for supplying water Yalta and Alushta will begin build this year. The work will be taken for about a year and a half.
