They drank themselves to death… In Sevastopol, drinking buddies robbed the man who gave them drinks — they withdrew 240 thousand rubles from his card

It was established that at night, a 47-year-old man, in a state of alcoholic intoxication, met two passers-by on the street and continued drinking alcoholic beverages with them. Wanting to treat his new acquaintances, he repeatedly handed over his bank card to one of his drinking buddies, to whom he subsequently dictated the PIN code for paying for alcoholic beverages. Having drunk heavily, the owner of the card fell asleep, which was taken advantage of by one of his new friends: he disappeared with someone else’s card, took a taxi to the nearest ATM, cashed it and stole 240 thousand rubles. To prevent the victim from noticing the loss, the attacker returned and planted the bank card on the sleeping owner. The next day, having discovered the loss of funds, the man contacted the police, — the details of the case were announced by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.

As a result of operational and investigative activities, the criminal investigation officers of the OMVD of Russia for the Gagarinsky District detained the suspect. He turned out to be a previously convicted 26-year-old local resident.

A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under paragraph «g» of Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Theft». The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to six years.
