In the Leninsky district of Crimea, a man was convicted for beating his cohabitant to death. The court found that in December last year, a Crimean man, after drinking alcoholic beverages, beat his partner, causing a lung rupture, from which she subsequently died. At the court hearing, the defendant admitted his guilt in full.

The court, agreeing with the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 7 years in prison. He will serve his sentence in a maximum security penal colony.
