Homeowners with gas equipment should install special gas sensors in their apartments — this idea was proposed by Sergei Kolunov, a member of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services. The purpose of such sensors is to monitor the level of gas pollution in the apartment and in case of leaks, automatically turn off the gas supply.
The idea was supported by the Ministry of Construction. Officials believe that such measures will make it possible to protect residents of apartments in gasified buildings. In addition, an intelligent gas metering system will not allow residents to interfere with the operation of meters and adjust them in their favor.
