Employees of the pre-trial detention center-1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol stopped an attempt to deliver a prohibited substance to the territory of the institution.
During the inspection of a parcel received from citizen K. for a person held in a pre-trial detention center, employees of the institution discovered and seized a package with a prohibited substance, hidden in a clever way in the side seam of a cosmetic bag. An investigative and operational team was called to the scene of the incident, which drew up a protocol for examining the scene of the incident, and seized the substance for subsequent sending for examination. Based on the research results, it was established that this substance is a narcotic drug — methadone with a total weight of 0.44 grams,” noted the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service.
An investigation into this fact was carried out, the materials were sent to law enforcement agencies for making a procedural decision in accordance with Articles 144, 145 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
