They want to purchase domestic elevator equipment in Sevastopol

Krympress reports:

At the hardware meeting of the Government of Sevastopol, chaired by Governor Mikhail Pravozhaev, special attention was paid to the issue of ensuring safety and uninterrupted operation of elevator equipment in apartment buildings of the city. The governor emphasized that he is holding the situation in personal control, especially after the incident with the elevator that occurred in November.

As part of the report, acting The head of the Main Directorate of the State Housing Supervision of Sevastopol Ilya Poltavsky was announced that after the November incident, the department conducted an unscheduled audit.

To eliminate the deficiencies identified during the last verification, the management company replaced three frequency converters. A positive expert opinion confirming the safety of updated equipment was received. The three remaining frequency converters necessary to complete the repair are currently undergoing customs clearance and, as expected, will be set by the end of February this year.

The head of the Gosilnadzor reported to the governor that he personally checked the work of the elevators on January 31, making sure of the serviceability of security systems.

During the audit, the situation of turning off electricity was simulated, and the elevator successfully switched to autonomous power, safely delivering the cabin to the nearest floor and opening the door— said Ilya Poltavsky.

Despite the measures taken, the governor expressed concern to the length of the supply of imported components and emphasized the need to search for systemic solutions to ensure stable work of the city’s elevator economy.

It is necessary to work out the issue with developers regarding the consideration of the possibility of purchasing domestic elevator equipment— instructed Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The governor noted that orientation on Russian manufacturers will reduce dependence on imports, reduce spare parts supplies and, in the long run, increase the reliability and safety of elevator equipment in Sevastopol.
