This day in the history of Crimea. November 2 is a tragic date
CrimeaPRESS reports:
November 2, 1943 is one of the most tragic days in the history of Crimea during the Great Patriotic War. It is marked by the mass execution of Soviet people in a concentration camp on the territory of the Krasny state farm. Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov recalled this on social networks.
Then at least 1,200 corpses were taken from the camp, which, two kilometers from Krasnoye, in the Dubki tract, were doused with flammable substances and burned. When the commission examined the burning site, it was established that in the gully in Dubki, the destruction of the corpses of civilians was carried out repeatedly in 1942-1944.
The memory of the victims of fascism, of our fellow citizens tortured in concentration camps, has sacred meaning for us. For many years, we have been actively engaged in research and search activities, establishing the names of those who were destroyed by the Nazi invaders, and participating in the reburial of the remains of Soviet soldiers. We also reconstruct and create new memorials dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War. This work will continuenoted the head of the Crimean parliament.
