In Krasnodar, on the basis of the track and field arena of the Kuban State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as at the Tekstilshchik stadium, the championship and championships of the Southern Federal District in indoor track and field athletics were held. According to the press service of the Crimean Republican Athletics Federation , 743 athletes from 8 regions of the Southern Federal District, which competed in four age categories. The competition program included cross-country events at different distances (including with barriers and obstacles), relay race, jumping disciplines, shot put and all-around. Discus, hammer and javelin throwers competed at the stadium.

The national team of Crimea at these competitions was represented by 64 athletes, who in total won 40 medals – 23 gold, 11 silver and 20 bronze, notes «Crimean Sport».

In the team standings, the adult team of Crimea (men and women) took third place — 90 points.
