The most popular area for concluding a social contract among Sevastopol residents this year was “Individual entrepreneurial activity.” 228 people have already signed a social contract to open and develop their business.
A social contract is material assistance provided by the state to a citizen or family whose income is below the subsistence level. Unlike benefits, the main task of a social contract is to help people overcome difficulties and achieve a stable income. The chief specialist-expert of the department of social services of the department of labor and social protection of the population of the Nakhimovsky district, Ekaterina Reznichenko, spoke about this:
The state annually increases the volume of funding for the program, as well as the amount of financial assistance provided. So, at the initial stage, 250 thousand rubles were allocated for the development of their business; since last year, the amount has increased to 350 thousand rubles.
Over the entire period of implementation of the program, starting in 2021, 1,188 social contracts were concluded in Sevastopol. In 2023, 402 contracts were concluded, of which 102 were for job search, 228 for individual entrepreneurship, 6 for running a personal subsidiary plot, 66 for a citizen to overcome a difficult life situation.
Daria Kaimakova is an artist, art therapist. He runs his own creative studio “Kayma” in Sevastopol. The social contract helped the girl realize her dream: to organize her own art studio, where the main emphasis is on the aesthetic and artistic content of students, education and upbringing, and then on entertainment.
The conclusion of a social contract with the state gave me the opportunity to teach, organizing the creative space as I see it, as well as everything necessary to start: funds, help and competent leadership of social institution workers, status in society, and most importantly, gave me those for who, in fact, all this means – my favorite students who come to my classes, – notes Daria Kaimakova.
Now Daria trains 14 people aged from 4 to 45 years.
