This year, about 900 Sevastopol families sent their mother's capital to educate their children
CrimeaPRESS reports:
For seven months of 2023, about 900 Sevastopol families paid for the education of their children using maternity family capital (MSK). For these purposes, the regional branch of the SFR transferred over 51.2 million rubles.
Maternity capital is a measure in Russia to support families with children. In 2023, at the birth of their first child, Sevastopol parents receive 586,946.72 rubles, for a second or subsequent child (provided that the right to MSC has not yet come) — 775,628.25 rubles. If the certificate has already been issued for the first child, at the birth of the second child, an additional 188,681.53 rubles are due. With family capital, you can pay for the education of a child in any educational organization — from kindergarten to university, foreign language courses and driving a car, art lessons and sports activities— noted in the press service of the Department of the SFR in Sevastopol.
The main condition is that the organization has a license for educational activities. In addition, maternity capital is allowed to be used for training with private teachers and for the care of a nanny working as an individual entrepreneur. In such cases, it is also necessary to have a license to provide educational services. In addition, mother capital allows you to pay for housing and utilities in a hostel provided for the duration of training. State support funds can be directed to the education of both native and adopted children. The main thing is that the age of the child at the date of commencement of training in the relevant educational program does not exceed 25 years, and the educational institution is located in Russia and has a license. To use the mother’s capital, Sevastopol residents can apply through the public services portal, the MFC or the Social Fund’s client service.
