This year more than a million square meters of housing have already been commissioned in Crimea

The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, in an interview with Kommersant-Kuban, spoke about the results of the construction industry in Crimea. According to him, construction is underway in all areas: kindergartens and schools, healthcare and cultural facilities, and infrastructure facilities are being built.
Over the 10 months of this year, a record volume of housing since 2014 was put into operation — more than a million square meters, including 230 thousand in apartment buildings. At the same time, the target for the Republic, set for 2023, is 930 thousand square meters.
Aksenov also noted that 100% availability of preschool education for children aged 3–7 years is ensured in Crimea.
This is the goal we have been working towards since 2014. This year it is planned to complete construction work on 24 preschool education facilities, and in 2024–2028 it is planned to commission 34 kindergartens and 13 schoolssaid the Head of the Republic.
Answering a journalist’s question about construction in the healthcare industry, Sergei Aksyonov said that last year the construction of two clinics began in the Crimean capital, the completion date is 2024.
In total, over 300 healthcare facilities are planned for major repairs and construction by 2025,” added the Head of the Republic of Crimea.
During the interview, the issue of road construction was also raised. Sergei Aksyonov noted that thanks to the President’s decision this year, an additional 5 billion rubles have been allocated for road repairs in municipalities.
By 2024, the share of roads in standard condition in the Republic of Crimea should exceed 46%. At the time of the reunification of Crimea with Russia, this figure was 20%, the Head of the Republic of Crimea clarified.
In addition, Sergei Aksyonov told the publication about achievements in the economy and in the implementation of investment projects, and focused on issues of safety and provision of drinking water to Crimeans, and the situation in the resort industry.
