This year, the SFR Branch for Sevastopol proactively issued more than 2 thousand SNILS for newborns

This year, the Sevastopol Branch of the Social Fund of Russia opened 2,089 individual personal accounts for newborns without application. Since 2020, registration of an individual personal account insurance number (SNILS) for newborns has been carried out proactively — without submitting an application from parents.

The SFR branch in Sevastopol opens a child’s personal account based on information received from the registry office. Information about the child’s account number appears in the parents’ personal account on the government services portal.

The baby’s personal account number is required to obtain a compulsory health insurance policy, to be assigned to a clinic, to be accepted into a kindergarten, and to receive various social benefits. Adults need SNILS to get a job and form a future pension, — said the manager of the Sevastopol Branch of the Social Fund of Russia, Elena Gaivoronskaya.

It is important that all the data specified on the portal in the personal profile of the parents, as well as the data received from the registry office to the regional Branch of the Social Fund of Russia, correspond to each other. To do this, when changing your last name, you need to update the data on the portal so that information about the child’s SNILS is promptly reflected in your personal account.

If the child was adopted, and also if the parent does not have a confirmed account on the government services portal, to obtain SNILS you must apply with the child’s passport and birth certificate to any customer service of the branch SFR in Sevastopol or at the MFC. The insurance number is provided on the day of application.
