Three girls were packing mephedrone in the evening… Not a fairy tale story from Alushta
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Alushta police detained three girls suspected of attempting to sell synthetic drugs.
The Alushta police department received information that unidentified persons may be distributing prohibited substances in a secret way. As a result of joint operational-search activities, employees of the department for control of illegal drug trafficking and criminal investigation of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Alushta drew attention to two girls who, according to external signs, were in a state of drug intoxication. The suspects turned out to be a 22-year-old resident of Krasnoperekopsk and a 25-year-old native of Sudak, who had not previously been prosecuted— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
The girls were taken to the city police department. During a personal search, police found 23 packages with a white powdery substance in the suspects’ pockets, packed in zip bags and duct tape. The examination confirmed that the seized substance, weighing about 20 grams, contained mephedrone (4-methylmethcation) and was a narcotic drug.
The suspects confessed to employees of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Alushta, confirmed that they had used drugs, and also reported that they intended to sell the packages seized from them using a cache and stash method. During the operational activities, the police managed to identify another person involved — a 20-year-old resident of Krasnoperekopsk who had not previously been convicted, who offered her acquaintances cooperation in the distribution of synthetic drugs. The girls lived together in one of the hotels in the city of Alushta and worked in a restaurant operating at this hotel— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
During an authorized search of the living quarters of the three defendants in the case, police seized scales, packaging materials, bank cards and mobile phones. According to Part 3 of Art. 30, part 4 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“attempted illegal production, sale or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues, as well as illegal sale or shipment of plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, or their parts containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances”) was initiated criminal case. The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison.
And so it happened — three girls send greetings from prison…
