Three kilograms of cannabis were discovered by the shepherd dog Orianna from the Crimean customs
CrimeaPRESS reports:
German shepherd Orianna from Crimean customs found about three kilograms of a narcotic drug — marijuana on the territory of a household in the north of Crimea.
The activities were carried out by operatives of the anti-drug smuggling department of the Crimean Customs in cooperation with employees of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol as part of the fight against drug trafficking.
The prohibited substance in a dried state with a total mass of 2,935.96 grams was in bundles hidden under hay in a livestock manger, which made detection significantly difficult, including due to the presence of foreign odors. Law enforcement officers also found numerous cultivated hemp bushes growing in the citizen’s garden.— reports the press service of the Crimean customs.
The canine team, consisting of dog handler inspector Evgeniy Yukin and service dog Orianna, involved in the events, showed high effectiveness thanks to experience, daily training, coordinated and painstaking work of the customs officer and his four-legged assistant. This detection was the largest in more than 5 years of service of the canine team.
The investigative department of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol opened a criminal case against the man under paragraph “g” of Part 4 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
