Three men were arrested in the village of Popovka in the Saksky district — they were listening to Ukrainian nationalist songs and were behaving aggressively

On August 19, 2024, the Saksky District Court of the Republic of Crimea considered cases of administrative offenses received from the MO of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» against three citizens of the Russian Federation on bringing to administrative responsibility for an offense provided for in Article 19.3, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation — disobedience to a lawful order or demand of a police officer in connection with the performance of his duties to maintain public order and ensure public safety.

During the consideration of the cases, the circumstances of the offense were established. On the evening of 17.08.2024, the duty unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» received a message that a group of people were relaxing on the territory of a private hotel in the village of Popovka, Saksky District, loudly listening to various Ukrainian nationalist songs and compositions aimed at insulting the President of the Russian Federation. Police officers immediately arrived at the scene. Aggressive behavior, refusal to comply with the lawful demand of the operative to follow in the service car for delivery to the police department led to the fact that physical force and special means were used against the offenders. According to the results of the medical examination, all the citizens involved were found to be intoxicated— the court’s press service reported.

During the court hearing, the persons brought to justice repented of their actions and admitted their guilt in the administrative offence committed in full.

Taking into account all the circumstances, taking into account the nature of the offense committed, the court found the citizens involved guilty and sentenced them to administrative punishment in the form of administrative arrest for a period of 7 to 10 days.

Currently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» is conducting the appropriate procedural actions to hold the arrested citizens accountable for listening to Ukrainian nationalist songs and compositions aimed at insulting the President of the Russian Federation.
