Three out of 10 Crimeans hated September 1
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The fact that they were looking forward to September 1 in childhood is most often recalled by the older generation. Those who confess their hatred for this day are mostly among Crimeans under 34 years old. Representatives of the economically active population, including parents of schoolchildren, took part in the survey of the SuperJob service for finding highly paid jobs.
As a schoolchild, every fifth Crimean (22%) was looking forward to September 1, and every second (48%) was rather waiting. 3 out of 10 respondents admitted to hating the Day of Knowledge: 7% are unambiguously sure of these feelings, but rather hated 23%. Those who were waiting for the start of the new school year are more among women (in general, 79% versus 60% among men). Citizens who remember the school assembly with warmth are most of all among the older generation (73% in general). The more respondents earn, the more often they report that they were waiting for a meeting with the school with warm feelings (75% among those receiving from 80 thousand rubles a month)— noted in the press service of the service.
Today, September 1 is considered a holiday by 57% of citizens, and every third (32%) does not consider it. Parents of schoolchildren are less critical: 67% of them attribute the Day of Knowledge to the red days of the calendar, and every fourth does not (23%). Among the respondents in general (including among parents) in the last days of August, women are more likely to be in a pre-holiday mood. Those who consider September 1 a holiday are the most among respondents over 45 (60%). The number of those who distinguish the Day of Knowledge from a series of everyday life grows with the increase in the income level of the respondents (53% among citizens with a salary of 80,000 rubles or more).
