Three thousand residential buildings in the Kherson region were freed from flooding. «Big Water» is leaving

In the Kherson region, the liquidation of the consequences of the emergency situation caused by the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station by the Kyiv regime, which led to the flooding of a number of territories in the region, continues.

Over the past 24 hours, 295 people were evacuated from the flooded territories of the Novokahovsky city, Alyoshkinsky and Golopristansky municipal districts of the Kherson region, 7.8 thousand people were evacuated first, of which 558 were children and 262 people with limited mobility. There are more than 1.9 thousand people in temporary accommodation centers.

95 people were hospitalized in medical institutions. Employees of the Ministry of Health of the Kherson region vaccinated 957 people evacuated from flooded areas.

Perhaps the most important thing now is the supply of clean water to the local population. Drinking bottled water is sent to flood zones and temporary accommodation facilities. Water supply is provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The water level in the Novokakhovsk urban district remains unchanged — 5 meters, and in the Alyoshkinsky and Golopristansky municipal districts it dropped to 0 and 0.1 meters, respectively. Three thousand residential buildings were freed from flooding. In Nova Kakhovka, emergency and restoration work is being carried out by the housing and communal services. Laboratory divisions of Rospotrebnadzor continue to monitor environmental objects for compliance with sanitary and chemical indicators— informed Acting Governor of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo.

According to him, work on providing financial support continues as usual.

821 residents of flooded areas were paid a one-time financial assistance in the amount of 10 thousand rubles. Applications for payments to citizens affected by flooding are accepted by employees of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Kherson region on a daily basis, so far 1,172 applications have been receivedsaid Saldo.

There are also problems with the payment of money.

Those who lived in dachas are formally not entitled to compensation, although dacha houses were the only housing for many. Today we are going to change the rules. Applications of people living in dachas for compensation will begin to be accepted— told Chairman of the government of the Kherson region Andrey Alekseenko.

According to him, despite the constant shelling of the Nazis, restoration work in the region does not stop for a minute.
