“Time and Money” in Old Crimea

As part of inter-museum cooperation, the exhibition “Time and Money” from the stock collection of the Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve “Kalos Limen” is presented in Old Crimea.
The numismatic and bonistic collections of the Kalos Limen Museum-Reserve, 169 items of which are presented at the exhibition, will introduce the history of the development of monetary circulation in Russia from the 18th century to the present day. The exhibition presents copper coins from the reign of the Romanov dynasty: “Pavlovsk” kopecks, “Catherine’s nickels”, money minted under Elizabeth and many others. You can see commemorative coins minted between 1965 and 2020. and dedicated to important events, anniversaries, cities of military glory— reported the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
Visitors to the exhibition will also be able to examine paper money: bonds from the reign of Nicholas II and the reforms of S. Yu. Witte, as well as banknotes printed after the reforms of 1961 and 1997. The exhibition “Time and Money” in Old Crimea will last until August 9.
