To attract doctors, plots and housing were allocated in Crimean villages

102 land plots have been allocated to rural medical workers in Crimea as a support measure, regional additional payments are also paid, and housing rent is compensated, they reported TASS in the Republican Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

Medical workers in rural areas are provided with municipally owned land plots free of charge for housing construction and (or) farming. Currently, 102 land plots have been allocated for these purposes and are ready for transfer.says the response to the request, signed by the First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Crimea Tatyana Gudilko.

It is noted that as support measures in the region, 7 thousand rubles are also paid monthly to doctors, 5 thousand rubles to paramedics, and 4 thousand rubles to nurses who provide primary health care and emergency medical care. Health workers are provided with office living quarters from a specialized housing stock, and the costs of renting housing and paying for utilities are reimbursed.

Previously, the head of the region Sergei Aksenov reported during a video conference call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, that the shortage of medical personnel in Crimea is 2.3 thousand people, the authorities are studying the practices of other Russian regions where this problem is being solved.

In March, Vladimir Ustinov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Southern Federal District reported TASS that over 10 years, 941 healthcare facilities have been overhauled on the peninsula: 900 of them in Crimea and 41 in Sevastopol. Also, according to Ustinov, 288 medical and obstetric centers and medical outpatient clinics were created on the peninsula over 10 years, of which 273 were in Crimea and 15 in Sevastopol. The plenipotentiary noted that the healthcare system in Crimea also has common problems inherent in other regions of Russia. These include a lack of nursing staff and doctors in certain in-demand specialties.
