One of such institutions that received new sports equipment is the State Budgetary Institution of Additional Education of the Republic of Crimea “Sports School No. 1 named after twice Hero of the Soviet Union Amet-Khan Sultan.” The institution was given the honorary name Amet-Khan Sultan in 2023.
The training process is carried out in 8 municipalities of the republic, located in the cities of Saki, Simferopol, Sudak, Feodosia, Dzhankoy, Kirov, Bakhchisarai (Kuibyshevo), Simferopol (Dobroe village, Kolchugino village, Rodnikovoe) districts.
The institution employs 58 coaches, trains more than 1,300 athletes from 7 to 15 years old in the following sports: wrestling (freestyle and Greco-Roman), football, sambo, judo, rowing, kayaking and canoeing, taekwondo, beach soccer and volleyball, boxing, field hockey, fencing, baseball, rugby, weightlifting.
The purchase of necessary equipment this year is aimed at the development of weightlifting, boxing and judo. The training process in this area is carried out in 3 municipalities: Simferopol, Feodosia, Bakhchisarai district (Kuibyshevo town).
The following items were purchased for the institution: a multifunctional trainer, a cardio trainer, a judo kimono, boxing bags, boxing helmets and gloves, as well as an Olympic bar with a set of discs for a total amount of 2.07 million rubles.
The purchased sports equipment and equipment will allow us to bring the material and technical base of the sports school to a standard state in accordance with the Federal standard, and will stimulate the coaching staff and athletes for further victories.
The result of the work of sports institutions is active participation in Crimean, all-Russian and international competitions. Thus, in 2024, students of the institution took part in competitions in which there were successes and achievements: Anatoly Rebedyuk — 1st place at the Russian Boxing Championship among juniors 17-18 years old in the weight category up to 51 kilograms. Sabri Memetov — bronze medalist at the Russian Boxing Championship among juniors 17-18 years old, candidate master of sports. Kibitkin Ilya — bronze medalist at the Russian weightlifting championship. Margarita Siminyutina — 1st place at the Russian weightlifting championship.
In total, as part of the implementation of the regional project “Sport is the norm of life”, 14 sports institutions in Crimea are equipped with new sports equipment and equipment, where sports reserves are trained in basic sports. For these purposes, the republic has been allocated federal subsidies in the amount of about 12 million rubles.
