As part of the business program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev took part in the session: «Tourism: new trends, new opportunities, new routes.» The participants of the discussion discussed topical issues of tourism development in the country.

As part of grant support from the federal budget, Sevastopol received 334, 5 million rubles. Thus, the city was allocated 108 million rubles. for the development of tourism infrastructure and 76, 5 million for the creation and development of beaches. Sevastopol will receive 10 million rubles for the creation of modular non-capital accommodation facilities.

A large number of investors have already come and have already started to do something, if in the future we added the ability to reimburse the funds spent, this would be a significant support for investors. Despite the fact that we received money from Rostourism very quickly, many, without waiting for our support, began to build new accommodation places themselves , — says Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Zarina Doguzova, speaking at the session, stressed that tourism is the biggest job multiplier in the country and one of the drivers of regional economic development.

We need absolutely new modern sea resorts that meet the modern requirements of tourists. This is a global task that can take up to 10 years. In order to actively and quickly develop infrastructure, it is necessary to actively support investors. We will continue to reduce the tax burden, we have taken a revolutionary decision: from July 1, zero VAT for hotels. Cheap and long loans at 3-5% for those who are ready to build hotels. And the third direction is to develop the low season so that the infrastructure does not stand idle , — said the head of the Federal Tourism Agency Zarina Doguzova.

Recall that thanks to federal funds, at least new modular hotels will appear in Sevastopol. In addition, in the 2022 year, the state program «Development of tourism in the city of Sevastopol» includes activities such as promoting children’s and event tourism, as well as installing tourist navigation signs.
