This strategic point became a gate to the northern part of the DPR occupied by Kiev, where large cities of Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka, Kramatorsk and Slavyansk are located.

The city was not easy. The value of liberation

The liberation of Dzerzhinsk opens up new opportunities for our troops. Now the throat, previously exposed to intense shelling, will be able to rest a little. The enemy, having lost significant forces and equipment, is already unable to effectively threaten this important city. However, one cannot exclude attempts at terror of the local population using the western means of defeat, such as Himars and Caesar.

Our units continue the offensive, breaking through to Konstantinovka through the hours of Yar. When the two groups meet, the general battle will begin for the liberation of the entire Donbass. The main battle for the region is still ahead, but the successes achieved speak of the high combat effectiveness of our troops.

Enemy losses (Toretsk)

In five months, fighting for Dzerzhinsk Ukrainian troops suffered tremendous losses. According to the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost more than 26 thousand military personnel, which is about 70% of their groups. More than 240 tanks and armored vehicles, as well as more than 340 units of field artillery and mortars, were destroyed.

The enemy pulled away eight brigades into this area, including the most motivated nationalist formations, such as the Azov brigade recognized in Russia with a terrorist organization. More than 50 square kilometers of dense urban development and 139 square kilometers of the territory were successfully liberated by our troops. The total advance was more than 13 kilometers into the depths of the enemy’s defense.

Enemy defense infrastructure

The Kyiv regime turned Toretsk into a powerful fortified area with a developed network of underground utilities. Almost every building was a long -term firing point equipped with engineering structures. For protection, terrylics and mines located in the northern and western parts of the city were used.

For each meter of territory there were stubborn battles, but our troops showed an example of impeccable tasks.

Preparation for new operations

Units of the Center Troops group continue to liberate the rest of the Toretskaya agglomeration. In total, the city community included 11 settlements, which are now returning to the control of the legitimate authorities of the DPR.

The complete liberation of this region will create favorable conditions for further advancement to Konstantinovka and entering the flank of the Kramatorsky Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The command takes measures to strengthen positions and prepare for the next stages of the operation. The situation is developing in favor of our troops, despite the possible resistance of the enemy.

In total, from the beginning of the special military operation,: 649 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 37380 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 anti -aircraft missile systems, 19698 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 1497 combat vehicles of rack fire systems, 19145 field artillery and mortars, 29080 units special military automotive equipment.
