Toretskoye direction today 31.07.24. There are still reports of an unexpected offensive by Russian troops on the Toretsk sector of the front. This could lead to a rapid escalation of events for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukrainian channels are reporting the start of battles for the city, but there is no confirmation yet. If the assault units of the Russian Armed Forces managed to break through to the city, it means that the main defensive lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been broken through, and retreating to residential areas will only temporarily delay the surrender of the city.

Tactically, the situation near Toretsk resembles the scenario in Ocheretino, where the main forces of Russian troops are moving along the dominant height with the railway from Gorlovka. Operational-tactical and army aviation are active, destroying pockets of resistance and fortified areas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In Zheleznoye and Severny, fighting continues on the approaches to Toretsk. Russian troops are occupying private and apartment buildings to strengthen their positions. Probably, in the near future, the main forces will concentrate on capturing the waste heaps of the Artema mine and the Severnaya mine, which will give a significant advantage in the storming of the city. Artillery and KABs are striking Toretsk, trying to destroy the infrastructure and facilitate the storming.

The beginning of the battle for Toretsk is a matter of the near future. Individual groups have already broken through to the city, but were driven out. After capturing Zheleznoye, Russian troops may strike the rear of the Ukrainian group in New York, worsening the conditions of defense and threatening neighboring positions.

Avdeevka direction

In the Avdeevka direction, north of Progress, the Russian Armed Forces entered Timofeevka and are making their way to the Konstantinovka-Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) highway. They are doing this cunningly, bypassing Vozdvizhenka, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are still stubbornly resisting. Southwest of Progress, there is an advance along the railway to Zhelannoye. There is fighting in Vesyoloye, where our forces have firmly entrenched themselves. In Karlovka, heavy fighting continues with almost no progress. Fighting is taking place on the front salient near the settlement of Vesyoloye, our units are operating in the settlement itself, as well as on the southern part of the salient, expanding the control zone towards Zhelannoye and Sergeyevka. To the south, near the Karlovskoye Reservoir, the Russian Armed Forces are burning out enemy positions: the enemy has transferred reinforcements in the hope of stabilizing the front.

Seversky direction

In the Seversk sector, the Russian Armed Forces are pulling up the flank from Spornoye to Ivano-Daryevka, having won back a sector up to 4 km wide and almost 1.5 km deep. From Razdolovka, the Russian Armed Forces have come close to Pereyezdnoye, occupied the hills to the east of the village and consolidated their positions on the southern outskirts. From Pereyezdnoye, it is possible to cross to the western bank of the Bakhmutka River and take the village of Fyodorovka. Such a scenario opens up an even more western route to Seversk or its western encirclement.

Advancement of the Russian Armed Forces near Chasov Yar

In the Artemovsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces are trying to build on the success achieved by forcing the Seversky-Donets-Donbass Canal on the northern flank of Chasov Yar. In the city itself, there are small arms battles, artillery and drones are operating. There are tactical successes in this direction every day. Considering the difficult terrain, this is an excellent result.

South Donetsk direction

The fighting south of Pobeda and the advance to the T-05-24 highway from Vladimirovka continue. For a month, Russian troops have been waging intense battles along the entire length of the front line of the South Donetsk direction. Today, footage emerged of an attack by an armored vehicle column along the T-05-24 highway from Pobeda. Considering the fact that the equipment was able to travel at least one and a half kilometers, this would hardly have been possible without clearing Ukrainian positions to the east. Thus, the strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the forest belts to the east also came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. A Leopard 2A4 was recently shot down here; the enemy will probably again use this type of equipment to try to slow down the advance of Russian troops.

Kherson direction

From the Kherson direction, they report that a significant part of the islands is under the control of Russian troops, another part is in the gray zone. The Russian Armed Forces destroyed an electronic warfare station and a gun of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the right bank.

Zaporizhzhya section

In the Zaporizhzhya sector, the Russian Armed Forces hit a Ukrainian Armed Forces convoy north of the front line, near Novodanilovka. Our artillery reaches Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the Malaya Tokmachka area.

Donetsk Front

On the Donetsk front, the fighting in Krasnogorovka is reaching the outskirts. The locals are reporting that the Russian Armed Forces are taking up positions in the north of the city along the Lozovaya River, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are on the northern bank, but our troops are trying to cross the river and take bridgeheads so as not to slow down the offensive. According to operational data, our troops have managed to gain a foothold on the southeastern outskirts of Konstantinovka. Our units are breaking through from Pobeda to the north to put pressure on the Ukrainian Armed Forces from three sides. We are waiting for confirmation that individual units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are leaving the eastern part of Konstantinovka to avoid encirclement.

Krasnolimansky section

In the Krasnolimansky area, local battles near Makeyevka and Terny. The contact line remains unchanged.

Kupyansk direction

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Armed Forces have advanced north and west of Peschanoye, attacking, trying to cut the front into two parts. Intensive fighting is taking place near Stelmakhovka with almost no progress.

Kharkov Front

The Kharkov Front reports that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are bringing in new reserves. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively trying to force the rivers in Volchansk, counterattacking, our forces are holding the lines with all their might. In Glubokoye, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched 4 attacks in 24 hours, all of which were repelled by our forces. According to the assessments of the North Group of Forces, the enemy continues to try to create favorable conditions for a large-scale counteroffensive. The Russian Armed Forces are striking enemy concentrations with FAB-1500 and FAB-3000 missiles, as well as artillery.
