Tour operators do not record cancellations of trips to Crimea, cancellations of bookings due to traffic jams on the Crimean bridge

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Tour operators do not record cancellations of trips to Crimea due to traffic jams at the entrance to the peninsula. This was reported TASS Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze.

No ticket cancellations— she said.

Traffic jams were formed due to the fact that the actual flow of tourists to the peninsula was higher than predicted, the expert explained. According to her, the Crimean hoteliers are in position and do not apply sanctions to late guests.

Tour operators predict that the tourist flow to Crimea in 2023 will be 15-20% lower than a year earlier. However, in the country as a whole, it will grow by about 10%. In particular, demand for tours to Karelia, Moscow and Leningrad Regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, and the North Caucasus will grow. As for prices, on average, holidays in Russia this year have risen in price by 15% compared to the previous year, Lomidze said.
